Now Bookings have closed, you'll be wanting to start planning for your BiCon. Primarily we expect people to self cater. This year we have equipment in the kitchens! In addition to cookers, fridges, freezers and microwaves,

A basic apartment kitchen pack consisting of 3 pans, a knife block and a chopping board will be provided in each kitchen. In addition a dinner plate, bowl and cutlery equivalent to one set per resident will be provided in the kitchen areas. There will be a mug and a glass each.

The venue are well used to seeing supermarket delivery vans, the only one they've not seen so far is occado. This is probably the easiest way to get your food on site. |Remember to schedule your delivery for after your arrival and check in.

There is some food available on site from the Atrium cafe and the dining room (weekdays only) here are the opening times.

Atrium Cafรฉ

Thursday: 8.30am-2pm

Friday: 8.30am-2pm

Saturday: 9am-2pm

Sunday: 9am-2pm

Dining Room

Thursday: 8am-5pm

Friday: 8am-5pm

The process of researching local restaurants and take aways for the handbook is just beginning, if you can volunteer for this it would be a great help to your much stretched Organising Team!

Thanks for the info on food and kitchen equipment.I was quite surprised not to see an electric kettle and mugs on the list (so I'll pack a mug). Are there any local shops for local people (and us) near the venue for basics like bread, cereal, coffee and milk?

I am already researching local Indian restaurants online for the traditional meetup of the Bi Currious club.

    • Hi David, we've checked with the venue and there will be a mug and a glass each.

I've now done some supermarket research. The nearesr Tesco Express is 1.8 miles from the venue (not sure whether there is any direct bus connection). There is a Morrisons in Yeadon 12 minutesby 97 bus stopping outside Leeds Trinity University.

I'll also report back on my research for Bi Currious ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thank you! The tesco express is on the road/bus route from Horsforth station. It is quite a steep hill, a bit of a challenge to walk with bags. It was very old fashioned when I popped in, not your average city centre Tesco express.
