On the walk from Horsforth station to the university there are a few cafés, delis and cake shop type places (including a place that does very tasty bacon rolls just opposite the station called Hamilton’s, yum!). There is also a Tesco Express with cash point. On the roundabout about 10-15 minutes walk from the university there is a pub/eatery called ‘The Old Ball’ that I’ve heard is quite nice.

I took a walk up to the university and the lovely lady on reception assured me there is a no-charge cash point in the building.

It is about a 15-30 minute walk down to Town Street which has cafes, several different banks, boutique shops, a post office, pharmacy and places to eat. That’s also where the Morrison’s is (I think it is about £3 to Morrisons with Arrow). The Morrison’s is open 8am-9pm Monday-Saturday and 10am-4pm Sunday and has a car park at the back. From the look at it, parking around this area is in pretty short supply other than that.

With regards to takeaways, my advice would be to use the Just Eat website/app as there seems to be loads of places that deliver up to the university and each place is rated by users. My friend who goes to the university said they are all good places around Horsforth, you can’t really go wrong.
